Welcome to Federal Graduate PLUS (Grad PLUS) Loan Entrance Counseling.

Before your Federal Grad PLUS Loan can be disbursed, federal regulations require that you complete this process. Borrowing to finance your education is a serious commitment. Entrance Counseling is designed to ensure that you understand your rights and responsibilities as a Grad PLUS Loan borrower.

This session should take you about 15 minutes to complete. There are 14 screens of information, followed by a quiz. You will be asked to provide some identifying information after the quiz. Once you reach the confirmation page, your Graduate PLUS Loan Entrance Counseling requirement will be satisfied. Be sure to print a copy of the confirmation page for your records.

If you have any questions during or after this Entrance Counseling session, contact our office at financialaid@uconn.edu.

Parents – Please do not complete this session for your son or daughter. The Grad PLUS Loan will be in his/her name and it’s important that your student fully understands this commitment.
