2012-2013 Financial Aid Packages:

We have begun to issue 2012-2013 financial aid award packages electronically for undergraduate students. Incoming undergraduate students may click here for information on how to access their 2012-2013 financial aid awards.

We anticipate that financial aid award packages for graduate students will be available via the Student Administration System prior to May 1, 2012.

Please note that continuing student packages will be based on the assumption that students are in compliance with the University of Connecticut's Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy. The Satisfactory Academic Progress review will take place at the end of the spring semester. Students who do not meet the parameters outlined in the SAP policy may be subject to cancellation of their financial aid packages as a result of this evaluation. Verification: Beginning with the 2012-2013 academic year, federal tax returns will no longer be considered a valid form of documentation for verification purposes. Click here for details.

Summer Financial Aid: Information on summer financial aid is available here.

Upcoming Deadline for 2011-2012: The last day to process a federal loan for the 2011-2012 academic year is Thursday, May 3. If you accept a federal loan after this date, it cannot be processed. After May 3, students will only be eligible for a private (alternative) student loan.

FERPA Privacy Waiver: Before calling our office on behalf of a student, please ensure that the student has identified you as a designee via the Online FERPA Privacy Waiver in the Student Administration System, and that you have your assigned access code available.

If you have not been assigned an access code, you will need to ask the student to complete the Online FERPA Privacy Waiver and name you as a designee in order for University staff to be able to speak with you.

Send your forms via fax: To expedite the processing of your financial aid application, we strongly recommend faxing materials to (860) 486-6629 if at all possible. Our Federal School Code is 001417. The 2012-2013 FAFSA must be received and logged at the federal processor by March 1, 2012 to be considered on time.
