100 Years of Women Scholarship Fund

The 100 Years of Women Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 to honor a current UConn student (who will be enrolled for the Fall semester) or high school senior planning to enroll in the University of Connecticut who, as a role model or advocate, has advanced the role and contributions of women in society.

SigEp’s Balanced Man Scholarship

  • Three, $1,500 scholarships are available to full time, males, that have a minimum of a 3.15 college gpa or a 3.35 high school gpa

Robert Noyce Scholarship Program

About the RNS program

The Robert Noyce Scholarship program at the University of Connecticut is funded by a National Science Foundation grant. The purpose of the grant is to provide scholarships to support qualified students with a baccalaureate or Master’s degree in mathematics or the sciences, who wish to complete UConn’s one-year Teacher Certification Program for College Graduates (TCPCG).

UConn Office of National Scholarships & Fellowships

The Office of National Scholarships & Fellowships has information on how to become a strong candidate for a national scholarship. The office nominates candidates for competitions that require institutional endorsement and supports students applying for prestigious competitions that do not require nomination.

University of Connecticut Office of International Affairs

The Office of Global Affairs has information on funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students seeking funding for study and research abroad.

Boren Scholarships and Fellowships

The applications for the 2015-2016 David L. Boren Scholarships and Fellowships are now available. Boren Awards provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to study in Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East, where they can add important international and language components to their educations. Boren Scholarships provide undergraduate students up to $20,000 for an academic year’s study abroad. Boren Fellowships provide graduate students up to $30,000 for language study and international research. The Boren Awards are an initiative of the National Security Education Program (NSEP) and are administered by the Institute of International Education. Army Health Professions Scholarship Program

If you want to become a physician, dentist, veterinarian, optometrist, clinical or counseling psychologist, Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and qualify, you could earn a full-tuition scholarship, plus a monthly stipend of more than $2,000.

Giva’s Corporate Student Scholarship and Worldwide Community Ambassador Award

Giva’s Corporate Student Scholarship and Worldwide Community Ambassador Award is for anyone attending a college or university worldwide. This scholarship grant is aimed at assisting undergraduate or graduate students further their education as well as expand their social responsibility and community service footprint in the world. There is no specific course of study or major required.

Evette Harless Scholarship

National Go Solar Foundation (NGSF) established the “Evette Harless Scholarship”. This scholarship awards $1000 annually to up to ten graduate students. More information and the requirements are available in the organization’s website.

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program wants to reward students who have succeeded both inside and outside of the classroom.

Havahart Wireless Dog Fence Scholarship

At Havahart® Wireless, we’re committed to the safety and welfare of our four-legged friends. To encourage that commitment and love in intellectual minds, we’re offering a $500 scholarship to the winner of our essay writing contest.
We’re looking for bright, motivated students who love animals as much as we do. To apply, write a 500 word essay on one of these topics:

  • How has your pet improved or changed your life?
  • Describe a time when an animal supported or helped you through a tough situation.
  • If you are studying animal science or a pre-vet program, why did you choose that course of study?

Scholarship applicants must be enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States, and must be a legal resident of the United States, or hold a valid student visa. Incoming freshmen in Spring 2016 are eligible to enter. Essays must be submitted by November 7, 2015. Please, only one essay per application, per person, per semester. Winners cannot re-enter for any future semesters. Submission of an essay/application gives Havahart® Wireless permission to use the applicant’s name and essay on any and all marketing collateral, including web use. The essay must be unique and original, and must not have been previously published on the web.

Swim With Mike Foundation

The Swim With Mike scholarship provides financial resources for the advanced education of physically challenged athletes.

Go Overseas Study Abroad Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to students participating in Study Abroad programs based on the creativity and analytical thinking displayed through writing samples and/or video submissions.

Elizabeth P Jordan Memorial Scholarship

This $1000 scholarship is available to a female student entering her Junior year at UConn. Special consideration may given to a non-traditional student who is returning to school for career change or after raising children.
