Private Scholarships

If a third party scholarship or external scholarship agency requires the University to complete a form as a condition of your scholarship, please submit the form to One Stop Student Services by email at onestop@uconn.edu. Please allow three to five business days for processing.

  • If you receive private scholarships, you must report them using the Scholarship Deferral Request form. The Bursar’s Office will evaluate your request for a deferral on the fee bill and will provide the information to the Office of Financial Aid Services (OSFAS). OSFAS may adjust your financial aid if you receive other scholarships, grants, tuition waivers or loans that are not currently listed on your aid offer. Per federal regulations, your total financial aid, including federal, state, university, and other sources may not exceed your total Cost of Attendance (COA). In cases where your total financial aid exceeds your demonstrated need, Student Financial Aid Services will adjust or reduce your aid in this order: first loans, then work-study, then grants and scholarships.
